KnowledgeWind People is a foundation based on a group of people who possess the knowledge of how to implement and administer wind turbine projects. This knowledge has been pooled from more than three decades of experience in one of the most progressive countries in the world regarding renewable energy and the birthplace of the modern wind turbine: Denmark. The employees at Wind People have a broad spectrum of skills, ranging from engineering, energy planning and management of development projects to political and social sciences and business management. The strength of the foundation lies in the magnitude of its know-how, a magnitude normally possessed only by project planners working for international investors. It is a pool of knowledge rarely seen in socially-oriented environmental businesses. The Wind People concept has gained respect and attention from a range of institutions and companies as an innovation that promises to play a significant role in the handling of climate-related global crises as well as tackling the need for growth and improved welfare in developing countries. The work of the foundation is far from being done solely by the employees of Wind People itself. It is carried out in cooperation with a range of governmental as well as private institutions and companies that have the highest expertise within this specialized field of renewable energy in the world. Wind People’s own team functions as project leaders and is further characterized by having employees with in-depth knowledge of each country in which Wind People starts up a new project. |
